Dr Theodor Weimer, Patron

Spokesman of Board of Management of HypoVereinsbank – UniCredit Bank AG, Country Chairman Germany and Member of Business Executive Management Committee of UniCredit

Dr Theodor Weimer became Board Spokesman of Hypo Vereinsbank and, as the Country Chairman Germany, a member of UniCredit's Management Committee in 2009. He joined UniCredit in 2007, initially as Head of Investment Banking. After graduating from the universities of Tübingen and St. Gallen and being awarded his doctorate at the University of Bonn, he worked for McKinsey from 1988 to 1995, before moving to Bain & Company. There he became a member of the Global Management Committee and specialised in the consultancy of financial service providers. From 2001 to 2007, he served as Managing Director in the Investment Banking Division of Goldman Sachs and was promoted to Partner in 2004.

Dr Susanne Weiss is a partner of the law firm Weiss, Walter, Fischer-Zernin in Munich and has worked as a commercial lawyer since 1989. She is a member of the Supervisory Board and Advisory Board of Giesecke & Devrient GmbH, and of the Supervisory Boards of Wacker Chemie AG, PORR AG and Schattdecor AG. She is also the Chair of the Supervisory Board of ROFA AG. Dr Susanne Weiss is managing director of Blue Elephant Holding GmbH and CI-ALPEN GmbH and is also managing partner of Fenstermanufaktur Weiss GmbH , Freeridekitz Clothing OG, Pearl Skin GmbH, SW Beteiligungsgesellschaft mbH and KHW Beteiligungsgesellschaft mbH. Dr Weiss studied law at the University of Regensburg and obtained her doctorate from the Law Faculty there.

Social Innovator and former Chief Progress Officer at the Hewlett-Packard Company

Gabi Zedlmayer is a social innovator who has been working with numerous global organisations on solving social and environmental issues. She is also exploring how technology is changing how we live and work and is advising companies on implementing critical strategic changes to successfully compete in the digital world. Zedlmayer is a member of the Computer Science Advisory Board at the University of People, is on the expert advisory committee of the Berlin School of Digital Business and supports the Administrative Council of the Georgia State University. Moreover, until she left HP in December 2015, she was a member of the Supervisory Board of Hewlett-Packard GmbH Germany, a member of the EU Commission's e-skills leadership board, Junior Achievement Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA), the World Economic Forum’s Council on Social Innovation and the Corporate Advisory Group of the We Mean Business Coalition.
Zedlmayer is an accomplished international speaker on the subjects of sustainable management, social innovation and the future of work. She is the Author of numerous articles (Forbes, Huffington Post, the Financial Review) and textbooks.
In 2011 Zedlmayer was honoured by Newsweek and the Daily Beast as one of 150 “women who shake the world”. In 2012 she was named by FastCompany as a member of the League of Extraordinary Women and was awarded with the DLDWomen Impact Award. In February 2015 and again in March 2017 InspiringFifty named her as “one of the 50 most inspiring women in European technology”.

Professor Dadja Altenburg-Kohl is Director of the Muzeum Montanelli and DrAK foundation in Prague. In addition to her professional occupations, she is also an avid art collector, patron of the arts and curator of countless exhibitions and biennials. She is a management board member of the "Saarländische Galerie, Europäisches Kunstforum e.V." registered association for art in Berlin. One of her main focuses is the organisation of projects between the Czech Republic and Germany. As such, Prof. Dadja Altenburg-Kohl is founder of the DrAK foundation and the Montanelli Museum in Prague. Prof. Dadja Altenburg-Kohl studied medicine at Karlsuniversität in Prague. After fleeing to the former West, she initially worked as a doctor.

After completing her studies in law, Sigrid Bauschert started her career in the further education sector, and founded the company Management Circle in 1989 with 5 employees. In the meantime, the company, which now boasts over 200 employees, has significantly shaped the sector. It is one of the market leaders when it comes to continuing professional education in the economic and financial sector. Management Circle is one of the leading specialists in the continuing professional education of experts and managers in the German-speaking area. In addition to Management Circle, Sigrid Bauschert has co-founded and participated in a further number of successful companies. Amongst others, the subsidiary Webacad functions in the area of e-learning as contractor for numerous customers from various sectors.

Christine Bortenlänger joined the Management Board of the Deutsches Aktieninstitut registered association on 01 September 2012 and previously, from 2000, she was a management board member at the Bavarian stock exchange, Bayerische Börse AG, holding company of the Munich stock exchange, Börse München, responsible for customer relations, marketing and sales, public and press relations, organisation and IT. After completing her banking apprenticeship, degree in business management and doctorate, Dr Bortenlänger held a number of management positions in the financial sector before moving to the public-law entity Börse München in 1998 to take up a role as deputy managing director. Dr Bortenlänger was awarded the Mestemacher manager of the year prize in 2007. Two years later, the Cross of the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany (Verdienstkreuz am Bande) was bestowed upon her.

Angelika Diekmann has headed the whole Verlagsgruppe Passau since 1999, and has been a shareholder in the family business since 1993. Moreover, she is committed to the project MENSCHEN IN EUROPA (PEOPLE IN EUROPE), that she herself initiated, and to the activities of the Dr Hans Kapfinger Foundation. From 1971 to 1976, Angelika Diekmann was the correspondent for the Bavaria section of the Passauer Neue Presse newspaper in Munich and Passau until she took over the Health and Entertainment section in 1976. From 1978 to 2005, she was responsible for the Arts and Culture feature pages of the Passauer Neue Presse.

Britta Döttger has been Head of Controlling Group Functions at Hoffmann La Roche AG in Basel since August 2015. Previous to that, she was responsible for the financial activities of SGL Carbon GROUP in Wiesbaden for 10 years and carried out numerous (re)financing operations for the company. She trained as a bank clerk before studying business administration in Frankfurt. After completing an MBA at Ashridge College and City University London, she headed the finance department of Fraport AG in Frankfurt. In the course of the privatisation of Frankfurt Airport in 2001, she was in charge of the project office and played a key role in the successful IPO of Fraport AG.

As managing partner of H. Hugendubel GmbH & Co. KG, Nina Hugendubel is responsible for marketing, public relations and direct sales. She belongs to the Council of the DBH Buch Handel GmbH & Co. KG, which was created in 2007 by Hugendubel bookstore and the Weltbild publishing group. After spending time abroad at Sorbonne University in Paris and completing a bookselling apprenticeship, Ms Hugendubel studied politics, philosophy and economics in Passau and Berlin. After her studies, she switched to publishing and worked a total of six years for Time Warner in New York and for Holtzbrinck in Munich, New York and Stuttgart.

Ms Kauper studied business administration at Munich University with a focus on tax and auditing. She began her career in 1996 at a medium-sized auditing company in Munich. In 2000 she moved to Phoenix SonnenStrom AG, where she was in charge of commercial sales. Between 2007 and 2011 she was Chief Financial Officer and was also responsible for Human Resources. From 2006 to 2007, Ms Kauper participated in the International Senior Executive Management Programme at St. Gallen Business School and is a fully qualified business coach.

Dr Kraemer is a member of the Supervisory Board of UniCredit Bank AG and Euler Hermes S.A. in Paris as well as a member of the Board of Directors of Allianz France (Paris). Before she was member of the Holding Board of Zurich Group in Germany and CEO of the European Centre of Excellence for Credit & Surety until end of December 2015. Dr Kraemer studied Business Management at Bergische Universität Wuppertal and obtained her doctorate from Freie Universität Berlin. She began her career with a traineeship at Bank für Handel und Industrie AG and then switched to the Corporate Banking unit of Dresdner Bank Group before turning her attention to investment banking at their subsidiary Dresdner Kleinwort Benson. There, she was in charge of the Global Finance/Corporate Banking segment for Southern Europe. In September 1999 she left Dresdner Bank to take up a new challenge on the Management Board of Zurich Versicherung AG.

Since May 2015 Anja Krusel is Vice President Group Controlling of Borealis AG in Vienna. January 2011 till April 2015 she has been the Senior Director of the management team at Microsoft Germany and was responsible for the areas of finance and administration. From 2002 to 2005, she was the Senior Finance Director at Philips Consumer Electronics in Hamburg. In April 2005 she transferred to Philips Consumer Electronics in Atlanta, USA, as a Senior Director of Financial Planning & Analysis. In October 2007, she took on the role of Senior Director of Finance and Talent Management for North America, in Andover, Maryland, in the USA. From 2009 to 2010, Ms Krusel was the Chief Financial Officer of Philips in Germany, responsible for all central business functions in the DACH region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland).

After completing secondary school and her bank training, she began her career in various positions in the retail and corporate banking business. Since her return to the career world after a three-year parental leave, she began as a management assistant with a real estate company before taking on administrative positions in property management and finally assuming responsibility for central financial management with the Obermaier Group. This company is active in the areas of land development, developer projects, dividing existing properties into residential units and the management of commercial properties.

After completing her legal studies and doctorate at the Max Planck Institute for Foreign Copyright, Competition and Patent Law, Christine von Münchhausen spent several years as a lawyer with an international corporate law firm.

A few years after joining the economics department of a DAX company, she was appointed department head, a position she retained on her transfer to the finance department. During her medical studies, Prof. Porsche worked as a children's television presenter for the German television broadcaster ZDF in 1979. In 2002 the Austrian Federal Ministry for Education, Science and Culture honoured her multifaceted cultural commitment and activities as film and television producer by bestowing her with the title of professor. Professor Porsche was also awarded the "München leuchtet" (Munich shines) gold medal in 2005 for her commitment to social issues. In May 2006, Professor Porsche founded the Deutscher Lehrerpreis e.V. (German teaching prize) association. In July 2008, the Cross of the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany (Bundesverdienstkreuz am Bande) was bestowed upon her.

Sabine Schaedle was in charge of various internal projects with the Corporate Finance segment of BMW Group until April 2016. She is also a member of the Supervisory Board of DAB Bank. She studied business administration at University in Münster. After a year-long work-study programme in the USA, she began her career in 1983 at Citibank AG. In 1986 she became a corporate financing consultant for BMW AG. Positions as treasurer with BMW partners in Belgium and in group financing at BMW AG were followed by management roles at Rover Group Ltd. and BMW UK Capital Ltd. in Britain. Sabine Schaedle returned to BMW AG in Munich in 2001 to take charge of the business management planning and control department. From 2003 to 2012, she was the authorised signatory at BMW Bank GmbH and was initially responsible for German corporate banking and then for important sub-projects for the strategic expansion and Europeanisation of the bank.

Annette Schnell has been in charge of the exhibitions, event and major corporate customers business segments at Dr. Schnell Chemie GmbH since 1984. In addition, she is the chairwoman of the Lichtblick Hasenbergl non-profit foundation council. The foundation supports a childcare centre for children and young people from underprivileged backgrounds. Ms Schnell began her career in 1978 as assistant to the management board at Fisher-HIFI Vertriebs-GmbH, in Munich. There she was responsible for the Sales and Marketing segments as well as controlling and credit insurance.

After her training as a bank clerk Ms Schöneck studied business administration at the University of Applied Sciences in Würzburg. She began her career at DZ Bank in Frankfurt and then took a position at Cap Gemini Ernst & Young Consulting as a Senior Consultant in organisation and management consultancy. She subsequently moved on to build up the global treasury at Kromberg & Schubert GmbH & Co. KG and spent the next five years as head of the Group Treasury for Wacker Neuson SE.

Alexandra Schörghuber joined the board of the advisory council of the Schörghuber Group in 2008 and heads the family company alongside the chairman of the board, Dr Klaus N. Naeve. After completing secondary school, Alexandra Schörghuber trained in hotel management leading to a career in Germany, Switzerland and in the Bermudas. During her marriage to the Munich entrepreneur Stefan Schörghuber, she assumed numerous supervisory board and management roles related to the family's private assets, which include a car park management company (Bavaria Parkgaragen), ski lift and cable car operations and one of the world's largest salmon farms in Chile.

Claudia Strittmatter is a senior executive in charge of corporate finance with Wacker Chemie AG, which she joined in 1995. Ms Strittmatter trained as a bank clerk before studying business administration on the European Business Study Programme (ESB) in Reutlingen, Siena and London. As a consultant with the US-based strategic consulting firm Booz, Allen & Hamilton (now Booz & Company), she specialised in mergers and acquisitions as well as the manufacturing sector.

Ildikó Várady

Since 2007, Ildikó Mária Várady has been a manager with an overall responsibility for finance in the mechanical engineering sector. Ms Várady graduated in economics from Budapest University. She began her career in 1994 at Bayerische Hypotheken- und Wechselbank AG in Munich (subsequently Bayerische Hypo- und Vereinsbank AG), where she worked in the export finance and risk management units. After switching to the mechanical engineering sector she was quickly promoted into management positions.
