Awards for sustainable financial services
Finanztest winner of eco-funds (2008)

Stiftung Warentest and FINANZtest examined eco-funds and described why green funds also invest in the automotive, aviation, chemicals or oil sectors. In the test itself, Pioneer Global Ecology was ranked the best eco-fund and had the best results for performance and stability.

global21 bank test (2007)

In a nationwide test, the global21 magazine examined seven financial institutions for their competence in sustainable investments.
Outcome: HypoVereinsbank provides the best advice in this segment. HypoVereinsbank was awarded the best grades in the “General Sustainability Aspects” and “Sustainable Investment Criteria” categories.

Chairman’s Award for Leadership in Sustainable Project Finance (2007)

For its commitment to developing the Equator Principles, HypoVereinsbank received the “Chairman’s Award for Leadership in Sustainable Project Finance” in London together with ten other leading banks abiding by the Equator Principles.

Work & Family (2009)

HypoVereinsbank was the first bank in Germany to receive its fourth award for activities in the area of work and family. The “audit berufundfamilie” award is conferred under the patronage of the Federal Minister of Family Affairs, Seniors, Women and Youth and the Federal Minister of Economics and Technology.

Office & Environment (2008)

In the “Büro und Umwelt” competition carried out by B.A.U.M., the German Environmental Management Association, HypoVereinsbank came third in the large companies category after the HIPP-Werk Georg HIPP OHG Pfaffenhofen and Frankfurt Sparkasse.

European GreenFleet Award (2008)

In 2008, HypoVereinsbank received the European GreenFleet Award from the GreenFleet magazine in the category of large firms for its commitment in the area of “environmentally friendly fleet”.

Corporate Sustainability Mobility Prize (2008)

VCD, the German transport association for sustainable mobility, the “Der Mobilitätsmanager” trade journal and B.A.U.M. awarded the CSR Mobility Prize in 2008 to HypoVereinsbank in the category of large firms.

Business Archive of the Year (2008)

The Corporate History department of HypoVereinsbank was elected the “Business Archive of the year 2008” at the annual conference of the VdW e.V., the Association of German Business Archivists, on 5 May 2008 in Schaffhausen (Switzerland). It won the prize for outstanding achievements in the field of historical corporate communications.
